Jared Love is a senior football player for the Gobblers who stepped up with big performances in the playoffs! In the Gobblers’ win over Navarro, Jared carried the ball 13 times for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns. In the Gobblers’ final game of the season, Jared had 16 carries for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns.

 

 

Jared’s hard work and persistence throughout the year allowed him to take advantage of when opportunities came his way, and he made the most of it. For his valuable contributions to the Gobbler football team, Jared Love is our athlete of the week!

LADY GOBBLERS REGROUP, DEFEAT SINTON

Despite a rough first half, which was filled with missed shots and missed opportunities, coach Amy Crain never wavered in confidence. The Lady Gobblers jumped out to an early second half lead and held on to defeat Sinton, 31-27, in non-district Dec. 5.

Even memorable seasons have to end. This year’s Gobbler football season concluded sooner than many expected, though, especially for a team that knew they had special bond. Cuero had their work cut out for them going against one of the top offenses and possibly top passing attacks in all of 4A when facing Wimberley, falling just short, 44-36.

Katie Crain is a senior captain for the Lady Gobbler Basketball Team. She was also captain for the Lady Gobbler Volleyball team this year and currently the 2017-2018 Student Body President. Katie has worked hard on the courts and off as she is a 4 sport letterman and a member of the National Honor Society.

She works hard in all her endeavors and sets a great example for all students and athletes to follow.

Recently she led the Lady Gobbler Basketball Team to a second place finish in their basketball tournament, leading the team with 10 points per game, 33 rebounds, 10 steals and 8 assists. For her efforts, she was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Congratulations Katie!!
