Gobblers handed new district rivals by UIL, tough pre-district schedule set |
Monday, 08 February 2010 |

From The Cuero Record: by Richard Morton, Record Sports (Posted Wed 09:24 am) With football Spring practices just around the corner, the Gobblers schedule has a few changes from last year. University Interscholastic League realignment on Monday has once again had an impact on the Gobblers as well as the rest of district 28-3A. Being a perrennial powerhouse is not always easy. The Gobblers compiled an astounding 84-11 with Coach Mark Reeve at the helm, making it tough to schedule games early in season. This year under first year Head Coach Rick Owens is no different, as is indicated in the Gobblers non-district schedule which looks more like a rough playoff run then a pre-district warmup.
